Jesse Kudler + Ian M. Frasier - Getting Love From All The Wrong Places

Of late, I’ve seen my listening habits drive to the more experimental and avant garde of netlabel electronic music. I’m still deeply entrenched in ambient as well as field recordings, but I’m watching other styles of music slowly away from my listening habits. For better or worse, work like Jesse Kudler + Ian M. Frasier‘s Getting Love From All The Wrong Places (Homophoni) is the type of music I am enjoying more and more. Getting Love is a live performance with Kudler on guitar and other electronics and Frasier on laptop and objects. Filled with subtle noise , glitches and hums, Kudler and Frazier’s work is too short for my liking as it clocks in at just a few seconds over 12 minutes. I found this to be a good experiemental piece from an important netlabel.

  1. Ian M Fraser Says:

Hey there, thanks for the kind words. Jesse and I have a full length record in the works which should be done around summer 2011. In the meantime since you’ve been into web releases, Jesse and I have a live set up on the Fotofono (http://fotofono.net/) site in trio with Tim Albro. Lots of good music on that site.

One last thing, you repeatedly spelled my name wrong 😉

    Cheers,
    Ian M. Fraser
