Victor Event‘s Silence (Abracadabra Records), a well-crafted IDM netplay, is this young Russian’s sophomore release. The first track, “Silence”, is a classic IDM track with a female vocalist seemingly ripped from Jam Nation’s 1992 release Way Down Below Buffalo Hell. (One of my favorite albums of all time) The last two tracks are as beautiful in their composition as well as their sound. I found Silence to be more focused or tighter in delivery than Victor Event’s first release, Immersion (circlesandlines), which is not a criticism, just an observation. Silence shows that there is much reason to look forward to more releases from Victor Event.
