Disruptive Platypus writing about improvisational jazz is like Dick Grayson commenting on the coolness of some thing or another. But I figure with my love for and many hours listening to experimental electronic music, at least I know what I like. El ojo del huracán (alg-a) displays the talents of Chefa Alonso (soprano saxophone) and Albert Kaul (piano). The five improvisations clock in at just over 60 minutes, some of it “classic’ improvisational jazz and others using a smorgasbord of other percussion instruments.
